Flowers & White Engineering, LLC is a second generation, family owned Montgomery based civil engineering and land surveying firm. The firm was established in mid 2011 by Mr. H. Kenneth White, Jr. and Mr. Bradley W. Flowers. Prior to establishing Flowers & White, Engineering, both Mr. White and Mr. Flowers worked for H. Kenneth White & Associates, Inc. The parent company, H. Kenneth White & Associates was formed in 1998 and both Mr. White and Mr. Flowers worked in the firm since its inception. In 2011, H. Kenneth White and Associates closed and thus Flowers & White Engineering, LLC was formed, maintaining the full client and project base held for the previous 13 years.

The licensed professional staff at Flowers & White Engineering consists of three licensed professional engineers, two of which are also licensed professional land surveyors. The firm has a full complement of additional support staff such as survey crew personnel, office staff and CADD/drafter personnel. Although the firm is based in Montgomery, it provides many of its clients with civil engineering and surveying services, not only in the local area, but also throughout the southeast United States - from Florida to Texas and as far north as West Virginia. The company is a full service civil engineering and land surveying design firm that can manage projects as principal design engineer - from the initial early design concepts, through the construction phases, offering

construction staking and monitoring services for the client. It also provides surveying services including topographic, boundary surveying and final platting of the property being developed. In addition, the firm works as design engineering consultants for architects and builders on various design projects. The firm’s ability to meet the specific needs of its clients for their individual projects, whatever specialized design services may be required is very important to Mr. White
and Mr. Flowers and thus the firm holds that belief. The firm takes much pride and satisfaction in providing personal attention to each and every client - while seeing that even the smallest details of each project are handled quickly and satisfactorily. Upon graduation from Auburn University in 1995, Mr. Flowers began his career with a local site contractor as the chief estimator and site manager. While working in the construction industry, he learned how to effectively and creatively incorporate design modifications into the construction field to create a more cost efficient product for the owner. After working in the construction industry for four years, Mr. Flowers joined his father-in-law, Mr. H. Kenneth White, at H. Kenneth White & Associates in 1999 as a designer. He obtained his Professional Engineering certification for Alabama in 2000 and his Professional Land Surveyors License in 2011.

Mr. Flowers is not only a partner in Flowers & White Engineering, LLC but also serves as a Principal Engineer and Land Surveyor for the firm. His past experience and current role in the firm has led him to work with many architectural firms, municipalities and private clients. His involvement with each project begins with the conceptual planning then progresses through surveying and final design. He also works directly with the owners as their liaison between the contractors during the construction process. His client base has vastly expanded over the past 14 years as he has demonstrated his genuine character and dedication to each client while expressing individual care to each of their specific projects.

Mr. Flowers’ portfolio of successfully completed engineering projects spans a wide range of technical expertise areas. Many of his past

projects include churches, schools, residential developments, office parks, doctor’s offices, water and sewer main replacement and relocation and hospitals. He has worked as lead design engineer all over Alabama from Madison County to Mobile and Choctaw County to Lafayette. He has also assisted as staff engineer for projects all across the southeastern United States including projects in Fort Worth and Tyler Texas to Nashville and Atlanta. Some of the more notable projects have been a 140 acre residential development called Bon Terre in Pike Road, as well as a new 50 acre residential and office development called Hamilton Place in Montgomery. He was the engineer for the New Enterprise High School that sits on approximately 135 acres and includes ball fields, stadiums, track, school, shop building, parking and access to two ALDOT highways. He also designed Vaughn Forest Church, First Baptist Church, Wilson Elementary School, Carr Middle School and The Reserve Apartments, all in Montgomery, to name a few. He is now currently involved with a new development in Evergreen, Alabama at I-65 Exit 96 called Liberty Hill that is the leading project in expanding the City and starting their push for redevelopment.

Mr. Flowers’ thrives on client satisfaction and is dedicated to complete the assigned projects on time with a major concern for cost effective designs. His experience in the construction industry has proven a valuable asset to create “buildable”, efficient designs.

Mr. White has worked in the engineering field since the young age of fifteen surveying in the summers through high school and college. He joined his immediately after graduation from the University of Alabama in 1998. In 2005, after receiving his Professional Engineering certification for Alabama, he began working on his own designs as a Staff Engineer.

Mr. White works with many private developers as well as numerous architectural firms as the lead designer. He is the point of contact for many successful jobs, and his involvement with each project begins with the conceptual planning then progresses through surveying and final design as the lead designer and engineer. He also works as communicator between engineers, clients, and contractors. White’s extensive knowledge of civil engineering and his communication skills are crucial to providing successful projects to the community.

Mr. White has a vast range of successful projects in many technical expertise areas. Many of his past projects include residential developments, apartments, churches, office parks, and retail centers. He has worked as lead design engineer all over Alabama. He

has assisted as staff engineer for various projects outside of Alabama, throughout the southeastern United States. Some of the more notable recent projects have been a 400 acre residential development called Hampstead located in East Montgomery and a 2000 acre residential development in Pike Road called The Waters. Both of these projects are very unique and adhere to the smart growth design concepts made popular by such communities as Seaside and Watercolor located in the panhandle of Florida. Other communities Mr. White has designed in the past include Thorington Trace, Parliament Place, Windsor Hill, and Highland Ridge which are all located within Montgomery and the surrounding areas. Several apartment complexes Mr. White has designed include Chapel Ridge Apartments located in Gardendale, AL Houston Lake Apartments located in Perry, GA, Victor Tulane Court West in Montgomery AL.

Mr. White strives to provide client satisfaction by providing successful projects that are on time and cost effective. His experience in the engineering field has shown throughout the last decade and his projects have been proven to provide a valuable asset to the community.
